Software Engineering Manager

James Chase is currently looking for a Software Engineering Manager to work for a FinTech Rocketship that has recently landed in London!

You will be building and leading a team of eight Frontend, Backend and QA Engineers, developing new product areas, creating true impact, and owning your team's deliverables from the planning stages to production.

Please note this is a hybrid role, with your time split equally between the office in London and home/remote.

Responsible for:

• A brand new, end-to-end product area, its implementation and eventual success

• Growth, performance and happiness of your team’s engineers

• Technical oversight of your product area, including which new technologies to use and which new ones to introduce

• Being the face of your team within engineering and beyond

About you:

• You are adaptable and enjoy wearing a lot of different hats. Building a team from scratch means there won’t be such a thing as a typical day!

• You want to be a passionate and enthusiastic leader that creates an inclusive, collaborative, fun culture whilst developing your team.

• You have a broad technology toolbox that could include technologies such as React, React Native, C#, NodeJS, and VueJS, but are always looking at how new technologies can help build the perfect product.

• You will want to own the whole product area and be responsible for making it great.

• You care about building reliable, well designed and well-tested systems.
