TypeScript/PHP Back-End Developer

As a key member of their agile, cross-functional tech team, you'll primarily focus on backend development while keeping an eye on web and data engineering. Among other responsibilities, the ideal candidate will be required to assist with the migration from a monolith PHP environment to a microservice environment written in TypeScript. Your role will involve:

• Conceptualizing, developing, and owning Typescript and PHP services
• Teaching, mentoring, and collaborating with team members and the product department
• Going the extra mile to help your peers overcome technical and operational challenges
• Continuously learning through training camps and mob/pair programming sessions.

 
The ideal candidate will have:

• Solid expertise in backend development with modern PHP applications
• Strong Typescript experience, and eagerness to dive into other languages as required
• Relevant experience with Symfony or a similar framework
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, clean code, and OOP
• A commitment to quality and always pairing code with tests
• A love for experimentation and fast iterations
• Interest in all aspects of software development, beyond your own stack
• A passion for working in agile, cross-functional teams and continuous learning
• Fluency in English and eagerness to learn some German if not native
