Lead Data Science & AI Consultant
3 months initially
UK based, outside IR35
£600per day
Hybrid London role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Lead Consultant with a strong background in Data Science and AI to lead one of their key innovative projects. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, product management expertise, leadership skills, and a keen understanding of market trends, and is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge data science and AI projects.

Hybrid London role, with 1-2 days in the central London office – Must be available immediately or at short notice, as ASAP start!


Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and develop product vision and strategy, aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development from conception to launch.
  • Apply data science and AI knowledge to inform product decisions and strategy.
  • Manage product roadmap, prioritise features, and set timelines.
  • Coordinate with engineering and data science teams to ensure technical feasibility and optimal implementation.
  • Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and iterate to improve product offerings.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential opportunities in data science and AI.

Experience:
  • Proven experience in product management, preferably in tech or data-driven industries.
  • Strong understanding of data science, machine learning, and AI technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in AI and machine learning, especially with a focus on chatbot development using RAG (retrieval augmented generation) models.
  • Experience with sentence transformers and OpenAI's tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge in recommendation systems, including algorithm development for content personalisation.
  • Familiarity with time series analysis and neural network models, particularly in the context of advertising and media forecasting.
  • Experience of working with Llama 2 and Databricks
  • Strong analytical skills to work with large data sets and economic indicators.
  • Capability to integrate and harmonise diverse technology solutions for seamless product functionality.
  • Ideally from a MarTech (Marketing technology) background, but not essential
