What is Silicon Brighton?
Silicon Brighton is a community initiative, bringing together technical individuals and experts. It’s a place for new ideas and the perfect habitat for businesses to grow.
Whilst supporting a wide variety of technical meetup groups, we regularly host industry experts for our Silicon Brighton community. Each session provides an opportunity to directly contact thought leaders in different tech industries.

Why we started Silicon Brighton...
Brighton has so much to celebrate. We are highly creative, collaborative, entrepreneurial and socially responsible. There are great support networks, incubators, communities and meetup groups. We have fantastic transport links, two top universities and a great track record of digital business successes. All this aside, we believe our city has an incredible amount of further potential.
When we started James Chase in 2009, we saw thousands commuting up to London every day; and today thousands still do. We started Silicon Brighton to put companies in front of the vast local technical community, enabling technologists to hear first-hand from local employers what they need to be working on to stay employed here.
Tech meetups in London have 100+ attendees week on week, Brighton deserves the same. We give meetup groups a platform to promote themselves. We give them additional access to speakers, sponsors, and a community keen to learn and engage with them. And if there is a gap in the meetup space, we even help start new meetup groups. This in turn drives skills growth and gradually gets us closer to Brighton’s full potential.
