Our client, one of the world’s most progressive and innovative fintech's, is keen to hire a Data Scientist to support their Latin America region.

The successful candidate will join a centralized team responsible for all things data, analytics, and ML/AI. The team consists of Cloud Architects, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Data Visualisation and Program Management specialists.

An incredible remote opportunity (covering LATAM time zones) to be responsible for:

  • Analysing data (past customer behaviour, sales inputs, and other sources) to figure out trends, create compromise prevention and mitigation solutions and output reports with clear recommendations

  • Help build and continually optimize data science solutions that identify and mitigate platform risk exposure

  • Claim end-to-end ownership of your models and solutions: from ideation to implementation

  • Interpret, document and successfully communicate analytic work and/or results to stakeholders, including those in non-analytic roles

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to build solutions that will support the fraud prevention efforts in our cloud platform

  • Communicate the state of business, experiment results and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership

The ideal candidate will have:

  • FRAUD: Experience in building predictive models to classify fraud patterns such as account takeover, card not present, money laundering, social engineering etc.

  • CREDIT: Experience in building predictive models to estimate credit risk such as application scorecards, behavioural scorecards, probability of default, SME rating models, optimization etc.

  • Knowledge or research involving cybersecurity - browser-fingerprinting, public key infrastructure, computer networking, device authentication etc.

  • Programming languages (Python, R, Java, SQL)

  • Comfort working in a dynamic, research-oriented group with several ongoing concurrent projects

  • Experience with H2O.ai, TensorFlow and AWS will be an added bonus
